CAMPBELL SOUP REACHES OUT TO THE COMMUNITY

You might think a huge company with over 1,000 employees might be too big to lend a helping hand to their community.     That’s not the case at the Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon, where they reached-out to families in need again this holiday season.

The employees of Campbell’s and the corporation itself joined together with a food drive, collecting over 11,600 pounds of food.   Those cans and boxes were donated to 6 different food pantries around Henry County, from Ridgeville Corners to Deshler.  They also received monetary donations, which were divided among the pantries, each receiving $180 to help in the purchase of food.                      The employees of Campbell Soup wanted to adopt families in ‘project we care’, and that number jumped from 4 to 18 families this year.   Those families received hams, boxes of food, toiletry items, and items for the children.
