The year-end report for the Henry County Transportation network was presented to commissioners on Tuesday. Total expenditures for 2012 topped $614,000 in providing operation of the transportation service, which has been in operation for 11 years. Revenues for the year hit $644,000; which included governmental grants and local contracts.
The number of total rides offered in Henry County last year was 41,718; with more than half that total going to clients of developmental disabilities. Over 9,800 were offered for the senior center; and another 2,222 were given to clients of Job and Family Services. Henry County transportation director Mike Saneholtz reported 588 rides were offered to veterans from the county.
