The topic of implementing a weighted grading scale was part of the discussion for the Napoleon school board of education this week.  The proposal would add more weight to classes that are advanced placement; and obviously offer a tougher curriculum.   That could lead to a grade point scale with a 5-point average for the AP classes.    The Napoleon board will bring that issue back for more discussion at a future meeting.

In personnel action, the Napoleon board approved Chris Wenner as a full-time technology support technician.  He is a Napoleon grad.                               Jeff Gillen was transferred to the position of head custodian at the high school; while Barb Long moves to the building and maintenance division.   And Penny Conroy moves to the custodial staff at the middle school.

The Napoleon school board re-elected Larry Long as president for 2013; while Rob Rettig will serve as vice president.  Long will also serve a two-year term on the Four County Career Center board of education.    Regular meetings will remain the third Monday of each month; but will begin at 7:30pm.

And an executive session was held to discuss personnel, and possible purchase of land; but no action was taken.
