The final numbers for 2012 indicate home sales in the Buckeye State jumped by 12.7%, with more than 114,400 new or existing homes being sold.  The average price of those residences also rose by 5.5% from the year before, hitting nearly $135,000.

88% of Ohio realtors described the housing market in Ohio as moderate to strong; and another 93% expect the next six months to show moderate to strong growth.

And those realtors pointed to the widespread increase in home sales, with 17 of 20 markets reporting improved numbers.
