Fulton County Commissioners Review Sales Tax Numbers

The Fulton County Commissioners reviewed the sales tax revenues for the first month of 2013, which indicated lower receipts compared to January 2012.   The total sales tax revenues this month topped $483,000 in Fulton County, which is a 1% decline from last year at this time. 

The village of Delta released their draft plans for handling waste water in that community.  The plan includes the installation of a new interceptor sewer, along with a 5 million gallon storage basin.   The Ohio EPA is accepting public comment on this issue through February 17th.

                                    The year-end report from Fulton County Job and Family Services indicated that child abuse complaints rose in 2012 after four straight years of declining numbers.  There were 314 child abuse cases investigated last year in Fulton County.

The food assistance numbers revealed a sharp increase from five years ago.  That number increased by about 1,000 over that span in Fulton County.

                                    And the Fulton County Commissioners authorized the county administrator to negotiate terms of a contract with the new assistant director of for the Fulton County senior center.
