There were two major topics of discussion for the Napoleon Council ‘finance and budget’ committee Monday night. The first dealt with a proposal to take credit and debit cards for payment of services. That was allowed in the past; but only through online registration. A new option being considered, is for payment by credit card in-person. This could be utilized for utility payments, golf course charges, and rental fees for parks and recreation. The current proposal would forward any charges for that credit or debit service to the card-holder. The finance and budget committee is recommending the new option be added, and sending the matter to the full Napoleon city council body.
