Titles for new vehicles surged in the first month of 2013, according to the report from Henry County Clerk of Courts, Connie Schnitkey. There were 494 vehicle titles issued in January, an increase of ten from last year at this time. But that figure of 494 is up over 37% from January 2011.
New car titles jumped from 29 to 38 in the monthly comparison. And titles for new trucks in Henry County nudged from 19 to 21. Titles for RV’s and motorcycles doubled from last year, with ten recorded in January.
It was a shutout for watercraft titles last month; with none issued, compared to 10 in January 2012.
The report from Henry County Common pleas court indicates there were 32 new cases filed last month, compared with 37 the year before.
And it was a busy month for U.S. passport applications in Henry County, with 45 issued in January.
