The Napoleon high school business and marketing program will be sending 21 students to state, after their performances in district competition.  Over 400 students from 11 schools participated in the district event.    This is the biggest contingent NHS has ever sent to the state in the DECA program.   As a team Napoleon took runner-up in the district.

District champions included Brad Lutz in Sports and Entertainment Marketing; Dan Behnfeldt in Principles of Business Management; and Derek Meienberg in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism.

Taking second at the district level were Ben Kuhlman in Business Finance; Jon Smith in Food Marketing, and David Yunker in Sports and Entertainment.

The state DECA competition will be March 15th and 16th.    Napoleon’s business and marketing program advisor is Jason Zera.
