Residents in the village of Holgate will have their chance to speak-out on the future of the local post office. Holgate Council reports surveys are going out to village residents, seeking input. Council is urging residents to return those surveys and make comments. A meeting on the subject of the post office future is scheduled for April 2nd at the municipal building, when those surveys will be reviewed.
Holgate Council passed an ordinance to require land owners that are renting property; to supply their address and working phone number to the village office. There have been problems collecting utilities from some property owners.
Council talked about action on a nuisance property on Squire Street.
And there was discussion about health insurance coverage for employees. More of the options will be reviewed at the next session on February 26th.
