The Henry County Community Improvement Corporation welcomed their newest member at their Tuesday session. Greg Beck of Napoleon will be serving a full-term on the economic development board.
The CIC board authorized a contract with Reveille (revilly) LTD, to help in marketing Henry County. Their primary role will be in planning services advising on land-use.
Three members that stepped down from the CIC due to expanded work duties were thanked for their service to Henry County, including Ray Cox, Chris Ridley, and Steve Kloos (close).
The Henry County CIC board has recommended Oliver Dolder, chief operating officer from Railtech, to serve an unexpired term on the board. That recommendation now goes to the Henry County Commissioners, who have final say on appointments.
CIC executive director Rob McColley gave a report on Congressman Bob Latta’s visit to three local companies this week, including Koester (kester) Corporation, Isofoton, and Railtech.
And the village of Deshler has tapped into their infrastructure and economic development fund, to help in paying for the demolition of a building inside the community. Their request is for $16,300, leaving about $1,800 in the fund.
