For decades, the city of Napoleon has been looking for ways to create a connector road from Scott Street to Glenwood Avenue.  Commercial real estate broker Steve Lankenau reports the city will achieve that connector road, in the area of the former Midwest Wood Trim.   That property, located just south of Taco Bell, will serve as the eastern end of what will be called Marco Drive.   That street will continue west until it turns north, at and under the 6 & 24 bypass.  From there, it will connect to land recently purchased by the city of Napoleon for their new water treatment plant.  This new Marco Drive will continue west to county road 14-B, also known as Glenwood Avenue.         The property that the city obtained for the water treatment plant; had actually been originally purchased by a development company in Columbus, that was going to put-up a senior housing complex.  But that never materialized due to the economy; so the city of Napoleon was able to obtain the parcel, with the help of Lankenau.

This new street will have four commercial properties available alongside, two on the south side of Marco Drive, and two on the north side.

Some city utilities will be laid-out along this new street; but the timing of construction is still unknown.
