The Henry County Commissioners have adopted a formal structure for the local Public Works ranking committee.   This group would rank and select project applications that would be sent to the district level, on requests for funding infrastructure projects.      Commissioners took that action during their session today (thur.), with the committee to consist of a representative from the Henry County engineer’s office that would serve as chair.  There would be representation from the board of commissioners, township trustees, city of Napoleon, along with a village representative, and two Henry County citizens at-large.  The planning director for the county would serve as facilitator and clerk for this public works ranking committee.

The Henry County Commissioners have approved a contract with Punches Excavating to demolish a vacant house at 210 Church Street in Hamler.   That cost is $4,500 through the Ohio ‘moving forward’ program.

A contract for $100,000 was approved through Job and Family Services, that would provide placement service for youth in Henry County.

Following two executive sessions to discuss personnel; the Henry County Commissioners took no action.   That was the same story following a closed-door meeting regarding possible litigation.

And the Henry County board approved a draw of $5,000 for water and sewer grant funding for McClure.
