The village of Deshler is making plans for construction of a third lagoon to enhance their wastewater treatment system. Deshler Council passed a resolution seeking funding from the Ohio Works Development Association in a low interest loan of $270,000.
Deshler residents should be looking for smoke testing in the sewer system for the village, to make sure the separation system is working properly.
Deshler Police will be beefing-up patrols in the park, after problems with older juveniles loitering around the area for smaller children.
Police sergeant Brian Robison was awarded a 50-cent per hour pay raise, after completing his probationary period.
The Deshler Development Committee has pledged $5,500 toward the new park downtown at the former Morrow property. A committee will be formed to proceed with creation of the park.
And Deshler has purchased a new cruiser for the police department at a cost of $21,632 from a Findlay dealership.
