The Henry County Commissioners reviewed the progress of payback for a number of revolving loans that are active in the county. Many of those are flourishing businesses from Railtech to B&B Molded Products; and are keeping up with their scheduled payments. Commissioners accepted a payment of $7,000 from Tussinger Machine of Deshler; with that loan nearly being paid in full.
Commissioners have committed to investing in a major energy improvement project at the Henry County Courthouse, that came out of the energy audit by Palmer Conservation. The boiler and chiller will be connected to a computer system, that will be able to be monitored by floors; along with connection to air distribution units. That cost is about $157,000. Another $5,100 will go toward replacing over 100 lighting fixtures in the courthouse.
