The Fulton County Commissioners are talking about some renovations to the Fulton County plaza administrative building that houses Western District Court and the sheriff’s office. Although it was constructed in 1989, there are needs in painting, carpeting, and other maintenance. Proposals are being reviewed from local contractors.
Fulton County Commissioners are also reviewing proposals for roof repairs to various county buildings. One of the sites is the engineer’s office.
And the Fulton County Commissioners are considering a joint wastewater treatment facility with North Star Steel and Worthington Industries. The county has been hauling their leachate to other sites at a cost of about $55,000 per year. And the steel companies are dealing with some costly treatment of their wastewater before releasing it into the Maumee River. The cost of a new wastewater treatment plant for the Fulton County Commissioners is estimated at 7-million dollars; but some grant money may be able to reduce that figure.
