Every county in northwest Ohio battled through unemployment rates above the state average in February. Ohio Job and Family Services reports the Henry County rate was 2% above the state average- at 9.6%. That’s down slightly from the jobless rate in January for Henry County. That made Henry County highest in the four county area for unemployment.
Fulton County’s unemployment in February fell from 10.5 to 9.2%. Defiance and Williams County jobless rates were near the state average, at 7.8%. Putnam County was lowest in the region at 6.8%. And Wood County checked-in at 7.4% unemployment.
Around Ohio, the highest jobless numbers were Pike County’s rate of 13.7%. And the lowest unemployment was Mercer County at 4.8%, and Delaware County at 5.2% for February.
