For the third time in four months, the Henry County sales tax revenues took a nose-dive. Henry County auditor Kevin Garringer reports the April sales tax receipts hit $286,571; which is a 5.2% decline from last year at this time. In actual dollars, that’s about $15,000 less.
It is about identical to the numbers recorded in April 2011.
So far this year, sales tax revenues are running about $30,000 behind last year’s pace after 4 months in Henry County.
