The newest member of the Henry County Sheriff’s office has spent a lot of time sniffing around, getting to know the layout of the place. It’s the new canine named Andy, purchased for Henry County by an anonymous donor.
Deputy Mark Glanz, with over 9 years in the department is the new handler for the German Shepherd; that was obtained through the Vonderhaus-Gill Kennel in Wapakoneta. The canine law officers come from Germany, and this dog is 13 months old. The canine unit will be working the third shift with officer Glanz; but will be available 24-7 for any investigation needed in Henry County.
