The Fulton County Commissioners have given their backing to a pair of community development block grant projects, submitted in the formula program for this year. A $20,000 grant was recommended for the village of Fayette, as part of their water meter replacement project. And Chesterfield Township was recommended for $85,000 for a road improvement project. Oakshade Dairy has contributed $15,000 toward the plan; and the remaining cost will be incurred by the Fulton County Revolving loan program.
After a request from the senior center; Fulton County Commissioners have approved adding another route for the ‘meals on wheels’ program. The location of that route is still to be determined.
The county risk-sharing authority alerted Fulton County Commissioners, there had been a high number of employees utilizing the emergency room for care. More education on use of the plan will be implemented.
The Fulton County Commissioners discussed the job description for the new position of administrative assistant for EMA and EMS, and hope to add some billing responsibilities.
Gerken Paving of Napoleon was the lone bidder for Fulton County’s road reclamation project. That project is still being reviewed before a contract is approved. Bids are also being accepted for Fulton County’s road resurfacing contract for 2013. Those proposals are due July 11th.
And the Fulton County Commissioners went into executive session to discuss the discipline of a county employee or official; but no action was taken.
