A downtown revitalization project in Napoleon can move forward, with the help of some grant dollars. The city of Napoleon had proposed tearing down two business fronts in the 600 block of North Perry Street, at the corner of Perry and West Main. Those structures are beyond the point of improvements; so the property owner has agreed to the demolition.
But that demolition would have an impact on the third store-front in that block- the Donovan Law building. To help stabilize that structure, and make improvements to the wall that will be exposed after the adjacent demolition; the Napoleon Infrastructure Committee has proposed a bridge loan of $20,000. That bridge loan was approved for Donovan’s law firm, at zero percent interest; in a move that will continue the revitalization in Napoleon.
