A contract established several years ago for the Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services is paying dividends in health care and medications. That contract is with Health Partners of Western, Ohio, located in Bryan. The agreement has produced about $50,000 in savings each month for pharmacy costs alone. According to Adams Board CEO Les McCaslin, this contract should pay for itself in the first six months of the year.
Another contract is also producing savings, and that’s with the Fulton County Health Center Stress Unit. That is utilized for short-term crisis intervention, at a savings of a half-million dollars each year.
The Adams Board meeting on Thursday, also produced more contracts; including a $30,000 agreement with ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital to provide inpatient psychiatric services.
Another $75,000 contract was set-up with the Maumee Valley Guidance Center.
Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio is providing more services in gambling prevention and treatment, which has increased their contract by over $48,000.
Another $5,000 was provided to the Henry County Health Department, to help pay for their health assessment, which is expected to be released on September 24th.
And three new members were introduced at the Adams Board meeting, including Sandi Weirauch of Napoleon, Sherri Hammersmith of Defiance, and Margie Rinkel of Bryan.
