More than two million dollars in cocaine has been seized in a traffic stop in Wood County from Monday afternoon. The highway patrol reports a semi-rig with California registration was stopped on the turnpike for a marked-lane violation. Criminal indicators were observed, and a drug-detecting canine alerted to the commercial vehicle. A probable cause search of the cab led to the finding of 42 pounds of cocaine in a concealed area, along with 2 pounds of heroin. Two men from California inside the semi have been charged with first degree drug trafficking charges, and face up to 41 years in prison.
