The 2013 Christmas Cheer drive has kicked-off in Henry County; a drive that collects food for those in need this holiday season. Close to 525 families were assisted last year with a Christmas Cheer box, that also includes toys for children. Families in need should send applications to the Henry County Christmas Cheer Campaign, in care of LeRoy Helberg. Churches, Schools, and other organizations are joining to make this a happy holiday for those less fortunate. Please drop-off your canned or boxed foods where the barrels are located. WNDH Radio is the voice for the Christmas Cheer campaign, with live broadcasts throughout the next six weeks. And we’ll have special fund-raising activities this season, so be listening at the live broadcasts for more information on that. Our kickoff radio day is set for Friday, November 1st at Chief Supermarket.
Sorting day in the campaign is December 10th, with distribution of the Christmas Cheer boxes set for December 12th.
